Doctorate of Science in Aquatic Biology and Fisheries, from Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute Kochi, University of Kerala.

Started the career as Shrimp Farm Manager in Kings International Aqua Marine Exports, Tuticorin.

Later joined a research project titled Fish Brood Stock improvement by Genetic Engineering, the project was taken up for improving the growth of commercial fishes like Carps and Catfish by incorporating Growth hormone genes of Rainbow Trout. Ornamental Fishes were used as experimental fish as the life span was short and growth was fast. The eggs of test fishes were injected with rainbow trout growth hormone genes by micro-injection, electroporation method. The gene extraction of the test fishes was done for analysis of gene incorporation.  The survival rate of fishes  from hatching to juveniles was about 80-90% survival was achieved by maintaining pure cultures of small rotifers and daphnia.

Fishery Survey Project at Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Kochi. A complete survey for deep sea fishes was done all along the coast of Peninsular India covering the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean and Andaman Sea. During the four year tenure in the project he studied biology of various types of deep sea and shallow sea fishes, crustaceans and cephalopods and developed techniques for its post-harvest processing.

Biological  Oceanography Survey work was taken up for a period of two years at National Institute of Oceanography, Kochi for studying factors responsible for fish shoaling based on availability of phytoplankton and zooplankton.

independent consulting job was taken up for developing  Shrimp farming with recirculation system for Al Jaraf fisheries in Abu Dhabi, at United Arab Emirates, which was successfully made operational and handed over to the company.

Ornamental Fish Development project of Marine Products Export Development Authority was taken up and was successfully implemented in setting up of about 86 medium and large scale ornamental fish farm (subsidy dispersal of 5-6 crores) and trained about 300 fish farmers at Tamil Nadu within a period of ten years.

Presently he is involved as Consultant for few Shrimp Farming, Ornamental Fish Farming and Fish Processing plant project in India and Abroad, The closed algal culture project for small ornamental, crab and shrimp hatchery was designed and operated.
